C.O.P.S. Plumbing is committed to making coplumbingservice.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. It is built into how this site is designed and maintained.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we follow the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in how we present information and offer service. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities.

Accessibility features on this site

We have built in a number of features to help you use the site comfortably:

• Built in accessibility tool. Use the accessibility button at the bottom left of every page to turn on high contrast, larger text, readable spacing, a dyslexia friendly font, underlined links, and reduced motion. Your choices are saved on your device.
• Keyboard friendly. You can navigate the site with a keyboard, and a skip to content link appears when you start tabbing.
• Clear structure. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can move through them logically.
• Readable by design. We use strong color contrast, descriptive link text, and alternative text on meaningful images.
• Respects your settings. If your device asks for reduced motion, the site honors that automatically.
• Multiple languages. A Google Translate option in the header lets you read the site in your preferred language.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is a continuing effort, not a one time task. We review the site as we add content and we work to fix issues as we find them. Some third party content, such as embedded maps, may not be fully under our control, and we do our best to provide accessible alternatives where that happens.

How we test and maintain accessibility

Accessibility is not a one time checkbox for us, it is part of how we build and update the site. As we add pages and content, we check that headings follow a logical order, that images carry meaningful alternative text, that color contrast stays strong, and that every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. We review new pages against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria and fix issues as we find them.

We also test the site the way real people use it. That means tabbing through pages without a mouse, checking that the menus, forms, and the accessibility tool all respond to the keyboard, and confirming that the focus outline is always visible so you can see where you are on the page. Where the site relies on a third party feature we do not fully control, such as an embedded map, we work to provide an accessible alternative, like a plain text description of our service area and a phone number you can call.
